Brian J. Stephens is a Co-Founder and Senior Business Management Consultant at Verus Consulting. He has been engaged for the last 8 years as a Program Manager supporting the shift to Recurring Revenue and Salesforce digitization efforts within an Enterprise’s US Commercial HQ - Strategy & Planning and System Engineering teams. Stephens leads all veteran-related initiatives for Verus, helping our clients better understand the translatable skills and leadership impact that special operations veterans bring to meaningful second careers. Stephens is a mentor specializing in sharing lessons learned from his 21-year business career with transitioning veterans and helping today’s Corporate Leaders build industry leading diversity models.
Prior to founding Verus in 2013, Stephens served as a Strategic Development Executive for Cerner Corporation during a decade of growth. Stephens has worked as a Director and Strategic Relationship Executive for multiple startups in San Mateo, Seattle and Houston. Stephens has deep domain expertise in Consulting, Workforce Education, Change Management and Adoption, Business Development, Sales and Global Services delivery.
Prior to his military transition Stephens was a non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Air Force, where he served honorably as a member of the elite Pararescue team for 20 years.
Stephens received his Workforce education degree from Southern Illinois University, where he graduated with honors. He is a retired Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic. He is a graduate of multiple Entrepreneur programs through the Kauffman Foundation in Kansas City (Fast Track New Venture and The Ice House).
Stephens finds his stoke creating collisions between the Entrepreneurial, the Over-the-Horizon focused C-Suite and veterans who are shopping for a new suit.
Brian has four well-adjusted children, two granddaughters and lives with his high school sweetheart, best friend and wife of 36 years, Marcie in Leawood, KS

KEVIN ANDERSEN

Kevin Andersen is a Co-Founder and CEO of Verus Consulting. Andersen is known across our clients for his strategic skillset and ability to grow and maintain relationships to achieve project success. He has led transformational change initiatives including helping companies shift to Recurring Revenue, Salesforce Modernization, and other business critical programs.
Andersen leads the day-to-day business of Verus, from corporate engagements and business development, down to the financials. He is strategic by nature and is inherently a relationship builder, helping connect our clients to the right talent at the right time.
Prior to founding Verus in 2013, Andersen served as a Training Director for Cerner Corporation, leading a team to direct and develop the training strategy to implement a digital healthcare platform. Andersen has deep expertise in Consulting, Change Management Strategy and Adoption, Sales Enablement, and Salesforce and Technology Implementation.
Kevin lives in Northern Idaho with his wife, Mary and their son and daughter. When he isn’t running kids between dance, baseball, and any other practices, he spends his time outside in the mountains.

Rachel Warrington
Enterprise Operations & Marketing, Partner
Rachel Warrington leads people operations and marketing at Verus Consulting. She thrives on digging into challenging business problems and has a knack for uncovering creative solutions, a strength she's carried from her early background in marketing and start-up strategy advising into a seamless transition to consulting.
In her current role with Verus, Rachel connects Verus consultants with the right projects, ones that are rewarding, challenging, and support both personal and professional growth. She also draws on her marketing expertise to help shape the Verus brand and ensure it stays true to the company's values and vision. Earlier in her career, as a Marketing Director at Nelnet, she led a team delivering marketing strategies with proven results. Her industry experience spans education, finance, retail, healthcare, and technology.
Rachel lives in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, with her husband and two children. Outside of work, she enjoys baking, hiking, and spending time in the mountains with her family.
